Sponsored by Heat in 2016 and 2017 to participate in the Cannes competition for creatives under 30 years old. Participants had two weeks to respond to a creative brief for a designated nonprofit in a select marketing category.

Cannes young lions 2017: Brave beginnings

Challenge: Create a cyber campaign increasing awareness and donations for Brave Beginnings,  a nonprofit dedicated to helping provide hospitals with necessary medical equipment, such as incubators, so premature babies have a higher chance of survival.

Solution: Humanize premature birth as a pressing issue that touches their family and friends. We discovered an alarming stat: One in nine babies are born prematurely. To show how powerful that ratio is, we leveraged the power of Facebook’s community and encouraged people who have been affected by premature birth to speak up.
